- Kilometer (smoked, spicy Hungarian links)

Approx. Weight: 7.75 lbs.
All sausages are fully cooked in natural casings. To grill these sausages, place them on the grill over low heat, turning frequently, until they have a nice brown color—approximately 15 minutes. When the sausages are fully heated, they should crack open only slightly. Serve them on a roll or bun and top with sauerkraut and mustard.
The Debreziner and Kilometer are also excellent appetizers. Serve either cold or grilled. Cut into bite size pieces, pierce with toothpick, and serve with spicy or sweet mustard for dipping. And don’t forget the beer.
The Nuernberger Bratwurst makes a perfect breakfast sausage. Fry slowly in a pan until brown and serve along side eggs, potatoes, and toast.
To serve Weisswurst the Bavarian way, bring a pot of water to a boil, drop in Weisswurst, turn off heat, cover, and let sit for 15 minutes. Put in a terrine filled with hot water to keep them warm. It is usually best to remove the outer casing on the Weisswurst before eating. These are especially good for children.
Sauerkraut can be heated in a pan directly out of the package. To add even more flavor, sauté with bacon pieces and chopped onions. Add them to the sauerkraut and simmer for 20 minutes.
All sausages will keep up to 1 week after arrival if refrigerated in original vacuum-sealed packaging. Should packaging become loose—indicating an air leak—remove sausage immediately and wrap in paper towel.
You can freeze this item for up to 2 months without affecting flavor or quality. If frozen, defrost slowly in refrigerator; do not thaw at room temperature.
Mustards and sauerkraut should be refrigerated after opening.
